Seasonal events
A holiday comes round on the same dates every year and needs nothing from you but playing. While it is on, a fight won or a node worked can turn up its keepsake. The chance grows with how long the task took, so the quickest kill is no better a source than any other, and a fighter and a gatherer find about the same number an hour. Nothing is found at a bench.
A day starts at midnight UTC, the same moment for every player. A keepsake is the same every year, so a year missed is made up the next. Nothing in the game uses one, and it is not trash: selling all your vendor trash leaves it alone. Keep it, trade it, or sell it by hand for a coin.
